About Us
While Claes and John have been installing kitchens for much longer, Swedemade UK was only established in 1996. While we’ve grown as a company, and have steadily grown our reputation, we’ve built the company steadily to ensure that our work continues to be ‘beyond expectations’. We’ve stayed true to our roots, too, by avoiding the overheads of a town centre shopfront, and building a boutique, invitation-only showroom right next to our out-of-town workshop.
Come down on the farm ...
Like swedemade itself, our showroom isn’t like the competition. We’re out of town – even outside the village – on a farm in Cumnor. It suits us fine, plenty of room to build and craft our kitchens and cabinets and all the sheep you can eat. (We’re only joking about the sheep.) Our new showroom is open and ready for you to visit. It’s a lovely scene. Plenty of space to park, and no other shops for miles. It’s the perfect setting to relax, flick through a few catalogues and talk kitchens over a coffee. You may have to bring your own biscuits, mind...
... or just visit a satisfied customer
Catalogues are lovely – and we make a great coffee – but nothing beats seeing our work for yourself. Many of our would-be clients visit some of our previous jobs to see our work for themselves – we think that other people’s homes beat a showroom any day.
How it works
Swedemade can supply a standard-sized kitchen, or one hand-built to your measurements. If everything’s nice and straightforward, your new kitchen can usually be designed, manufactured and installed within 4-5 weeks. Bespoke kitchens take a little longer. We think of ourselves as a ‘one stop shop’, as we have access to every building trade you could possibly need, and source architectural drawings, builders, plasterers, electricians, roofers, plumbers, tilers and painters and decorators. Essentially, we’ll measure up, fit your furniture, then make your home look nice afterwards. That’s how it works with swedemade. Of course, it isn’t the same everywhere...
